Dr. Adare Toral, Ph.D., M.A.
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor 7470
Adare Toral (she/they) is the owner of Central Coast Psychotherapy, clinical supervisor, licensed therapist, and a professor of forensic psychology. Adare is your local emo therapist with a hippie flair. She became a drug and alcohol counselor in 2013, a licensed therapist in 2020, and, before all of that, a yoga instructor in 2011. Adare is a trauma specialist and utilizes various talk therapies as well as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Outside of therapy, you can find Adare practicing yoga, cross stitching, or enjoying coffee at a local shop.
Specialties include EMDR, art therapy, somatic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and adolescent psychology.

Kelly Knox, M.S.
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor 20450
Kelly is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, and holds a Master’s in Counseling with Palo Alto University with the focus of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Kelly works primarily with individuals who seek a more balanced state of mental health, while providing support in their own areas of growth and self-knowledge. She has training in Trauma-Focused therapies, Somatic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as training and experience with the neurodivergent population. Kelly is knowledgeable of and provides space for queer and expansive relationship styles. Her general approach is person-centered, working with each individual on their personal journey and providing counseling support in a way that best fits each client. Outside of practice, Kelly spends a lot of her time outdoors, primarily on one of her bikes or enjoying nature. She also is a lover of animals, reading, and gardening.

Mary Kate Hoag, M.A.
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #20933
Mary Kate is a trauma-informed Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School. She is currently receiving specialized training in Trauma-informed Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Her professional background includes work in crisis stabilization and with individuals experiencing PTSD, as well as psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Drawing from integrated approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—Mary Kate prioritizes supporting clients in exploring their personal challenges, helping to cultivate stability and well-being in their lives. Outside of clinical practice, Mary Kate spends her time hiking, camping, and exploring new places with her dogs.
